What Makes Smile Train Different
Smile Train supplies local medical professionals in 75+ countries with world-class training programs and top-notch equipment so they can provide life-changing, high-quality medical care to children with clefts in their own communities. This is a key difference from mission-trip-based models: Smile Train directly supports local healthcare facilities and their staffs – it’s how we build up healthcare infrastructure around the world while sponsoring care 365 days a year.
Beyond surgery, our local partners also provide free speech therapy, psychological support, nutritional services, orthodontics, and other essential forms of care to ensure that children with clefts have everything they need to not just live, but thrive.
